The Micah House was an answer to prayers uttered from my prison cell. Not knowing how to become or be better, I left my prayers for help mostly unspecified, only asking for God’s intervention. Unconditionally.
At Micah House I found employment, community, a church family and was accepted like I have never known before! If one truly repents of bad habits and can not find his own way out, God is sure to open a few doors to act upon that repentance.”

I came to Micah house almost 2 yrs. ago. I have been blessed with learning about what a life for Christ and Love is all about. I came from Juvi, (8 yrs. old) Foster care, Ranches, camps, drug programs and prisons. Once I surrendered all to God, I (or God) found Micah House for me. The residents and this community on our little island have embraced all of us in an unbelievable way!
I was lost, my plans were not working and at the end of my rope finally gave in and asked for Divine help. Man, what a gift life has been. I had been in prison or without basic freedoms almost 45 yrs. of my 60 yrs. but now know I will never be locked up again except in Christ’s Love and protection.
These islands are the most beautiful place ever, the community is willing to invest in the Micah House residents and have been so gracious in offering employment without judging and are as excited as we get when we experience success, sometime for the first times in our lives!”
